Who are we?

Our lodge has been making good men, better men, since 1949. We have a rich history of being at the forefront of Freemasonry in the Auckland region, and will continue to do so into the future. We are rapidly growing in quality members and with our great leadership and direction are quickly becoming one of the premiere lodges in Auckland.

We are Browns Bay Lodge No. 346, we ARE the future of Freemasonry.

What do we do?

We are a group of men ranging in ages from our early twenties to late nineties. We represent a wide variety of industry; from men who work with their hands, all the way to men who make the big decisions. We meet once a month, as Brothers, on the level, regardless of our stature in the community. We meet to share a fraternal bond that is found no place other. Self improvement and the betterment of our community is what we aspire to achieve.

We achieve this by imparting the virtuous ideals of Freemasonry upon our members through a series of ceremonies. Each ceremony conveys particular moral truths and ideas that aid us to contemplate what the best version of ourselves could look like. These ceremonies have a tremendous effect whether it is being seen for the first time, or the fiftieth. Once the ceremonial part of the evening is completed, we head into our dining room to share a laugh and some story telling over a light meal and a few drinks. We have the opportunity to learn just as much from our Brothers in this jovial environment as what we can learn from our ceremonies.

In essence, we are a group of men trying to be better, together.

We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at the North Shore Masonic Centre in Albany, Auckland. You can view our upcoming meetings and events on the Northern Division website.
